Exams

             If you're a student like me in Singapore or living anywhere else in the world . I'm quite sure you have taken an exam before . Exams suck , I am quite sure a lot of students would agree with me on this . But I realized something , there is a way to make exams easier .
             Well the solution is easy , do not study last minute . I know , it's easier said than done but hey it's a true and very effective way . If you study long before the exam , you will be able to store all that you need to memorize and learn in your long-term memory . So when the exam comes , you'll be extremely prepared the day before the exam and you would not have to worry a thing as you know that you have done your best to prepare for the exam . 
             Exams are not difficult , it's just a test on how much we study regularly , studying last minute will not be effective at all , so why not start now ? By cultivating good study habits because habits determine who we are as a person . 

Birthday

Yay so it's my birthday today, woohoo. I realised as people grow older, their birthday becomes less and less important to them. If I were to compare the difference in how much I cared about my birthday 3 years ago and now, there would be such a difference. 3 years ago my birthday meant the world to me, now it has become like, "mehh birthday" . I feel the the most important day to me now is the day jesus died for us, the day that he took all our sins away, the day that the death of God's son saved us from eternal suffering. For the believers and non believers reading this, remember your birthday as the day where your mother beared so much pain just to have you and thank her for that :)

"Why is my life so bad ?"

                        "Why is my life so bad ?" is this phrase familiar ? Have you ever woken up in the middle of the night and ask yourself , why is my life so bad , why am I the only one that goes through all this shit that nobody can help me with . Well , you're not . If you are reading this , this shows that you're already wealthy enough to own a computer or a smartphone , some people in the world do not even have the privilege to surf the net , lest own a computer . Sometimes we get too caught up in our own self pity that we do not see how fortunate we are , to have shelter over our heads , to have a home to go back to , to wear clothes , yes , to wear clothes , or even the simple act of being able to walk . 

                       There are people in the world who are sleeping out in the open , on the streets , not having a single soul to talk to . There are people who are worrying whether they will still be on this earth the next day . There are people who are so hungry that they would be willing to eat grass . So , every time we ask ourselves , "why is my life so bad?" are we doing justice to the people who are having a tougher time than us ? 

                       Life will never stay bad , there will always be ups and downs in the roller coaster of life . At the end of the day , when we look back at how we lived our lives , what are we going to see and what do we want to see . Whether it will be a life of self pity and sadness , or endurance and happiness . The decision is yours , make your life worth living , make use of the 86400 seconds everyday . If you are going through a rough patch , endure , keep on pushing , keep on making it worth living for , at the end of the day , I hope you will look back at how you lived your life and see it as a life of endurance and success .

Have you ever felt that way ?

          Have you ever felt this way , comparing yourself to others and realizing how much of a failure you are ? How you disappoint your parents and how you try so hard but just end up failing ? Then starting to feel insecure and feel that everyone else is so much better than you and your self esteem just plummets . Then anger kicks in when you realize how hard you're trying but end up failing and you feel pissed at everything . Then sadness overcomes anger and you feel sad on how much of a failure you are . Well , you're not the only one , I feel this way sometimes . It's shitty , I never know when I am going to be able to get over it or when can I feel good enough but I just hope it's sometime soon .

How I came to know the lord

          So I'm going to talk about how I came to know the lord :) My curiosity in christianity started when I first asked my friend what was the difference between catholics and christians , after he answered my question he invited me to his church . Well , you see , my family doesn't really have a religion and I was afraid what my parents would say when I told them I was going to go to my friend's church . I asked them anyway and surprisingly they said okay . I went to my friend's church and everyone was so friendly and open to a newcomer like me and I felt welcomed there . From then on I started to attend the church weekly and even went for a christian conference . I remember while at the christian conference I told god , " I'm going to try my best to be the christian you want me to be , please help me through this journey that I'm going to take , I'm going to place all my faith in you and I hope I would not be disappointed ." well something like that and from then on my faith grew and now I'm a christian , I've made many mistakes and sinned against god but god is a merciful god and he will forgive the mistakes and sins that we have made .
